I have been working in the beauty industry for 12 years now and I’m loving every minute of it. It’s so exciting – always changing. That’s what keeps me motivated. I began my training with Kilkenny School of Beauty where I graduated with distinction.

At the age of 19, I then headed off to London to further my training and I trained with Steiner. I was very lucky to be chosen to work in the Elemis day spa on Bond Street – what an exciting start to my journey as a beauty therapist! After working on Bond Street for a while, I then got the opportunity to work onboard one of Steiner’s Onboard Spas on a cruise ship. Life on board a cruise ship was a fantastic experience. I gained a huge amount of experience and training which I still use to this day.

When I returned home to Ireland I worked in a busy city salon where I quickly gained a large clientele. At the age of 23, I co-owned a salon, Cosmo Beauty, for 7 years. I decided to take the plunge and open my very own salon, Beautique. I have a lot knowledge and experience under my belt which I look forward to sharing with clients and staff. I am extremly interested in all aspects of the beauty industry and have gained a reputation as an excellent nail technician and, most recently, as a permanent cosmetic artist. I specialise in brow artistry with Nouveau Contour, the UK’s leading permanent make-up and medical tattooing provider. Becoming qualified as a permanent cosmetic artist is the most rewarding thing I have added to my portfolio to date. Giving women back their confidence is an amazing feeling and I absolutely love my job.
